For the second level of the hierarchy, a seasonal rainfall model is conditioned on the simulated IPO-PDO state. The model is able to replicate observed statistics such as seasonal and multiyear accumulated rainfall distributions and interannual autocorrelations. Mean seasonal rainfall in the IPO-PDO dry states is found to be 15%–28% lower than the wet state at the case study sites. In comparison, an annual lag-one autoregressive model is unable to adequately capture the observed rainfall distribution within separate IPO-PDO states.]]> Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:27:36 AEST ]]> Forecasting extreme ENSO events and the associated hydrological impact in eastern Australia https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:16698 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:13:24 AEST ]]> Identification of a change in climate state using regional flood data https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:3270 Wed 11 Apr 2018 10:31:47 AEST ]]> Climate-informed stochastic hydrological modelling https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:11913 Wed 11 Apr 2018 09:29:15 AEST ]]> Influence of ENSO, ENSO Modoki, and the IPO on tropical cyclogenesis: a spatial analysis of the southwest Pacific region https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:34732 Thu 20 Oct 2022 13:23:01 AEDT ]]> Integrating models, methods and measurements for prediction in ungauged basins https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:3842 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:22:29 AEDT ]]>
